From humble beginnings in carpentry to architecture, interiors and construction, Rabah Builders has grown through perseverance, craftsmanship, trust and responsibility.
Our Beginning
A Journey Shaped by Courage and Craft
The story of Rabah Builders began with Mr. R. Anthony, who arrived in Chennai at the age of sixteen with limited resources but with determination, courage and a vision for a better future.
He began his career as a daily-wage carpenter. Through consistent effort and craftsmanship, he gradually started undertaking small carpentry and interior-decoration contracts under the name R.A. Furnitures.
His work later expanded into building contracts under R.A. Builders. The company undertook church construction projects across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, along with residential houses, schools and other institutional buildings.
What began with one craftsman’s perseverance became a legacy of building for generations.

Early Years
Mr. R. Anthony begins working in Chennai as a daily-wage carpenter.
R.A. Furnitures
Small carpentry and interior-decoration contracts establish the foundation of the business.
R.A. Builders
The company expands into church, residential, school and institutional construction.
1995
Civil Engineer Mr. A. Arputharaj joins his father and strengthens the company’s engineering and construction capabilities.
Expansion in Chennai
The organisation undertakes flats and residential developments in and around Mogappair and Chennai.
Leadership Continuity
Following the passing of Mr. R. Anthony, Mr. A. Arputharaj assumes leadership and continues the company’s growth.
Rabah Builders and Promoters Pvt. Ltd.
The organisation evolves into a private limited company with a long-term vision for responsible growth, innovation and customer value.

Mr. A. Arputharaj
Managing Director and Civil Engineer
Mr. A. Arputharaj joined the organisation in 1995 after completing his studies in Civil Engineering. He worked alongside the founder and helped expand the company’s residential and building-construction capabilities in and around Chennai.
Following the passing of Mr. R. Anthony, he continued the organisation’s legacy and guided its development into Rabah Builders and Promoters Pvt. Ltd.
His leadership remains focused on quality workmanship, responsible execution, practical value, clear documentation and long-term client relationships.

Our Name
Rabah — Multiply and Prosper
The name Rabah preserves the legacy of R.A. Builders and Housing while expressing the organisation’s vision for meaningful growth.
“Rabah” means “Multiply and Prosper” in Hebrew. The name represents progress, responsibility, faith, value creation and the continuation of the company’s founding legacy.
